A woman who was injured in a fire on Rembrandt van Rijnstraat on Sunday evening has died.

The fire department in Groningen received calls about the fire in the Kostverloren neighbourhood just after 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Fire department officials told RTV Noord that one woman was injured in the fire. The woman was rescued from the building by police officers and emergency medical responders before the fire department arrived on scene. The woman, who was 40 years old, was transported to the hospital, but the Groningen police announced on Monday evening that she had passed away due to her injuries.
The fire department was able to quickly get the blaze under control. The investigation into the cause of the fire concluded that there was no foul play involved.
