The weekend is almost here and Here & Now in Groningen and Leeuwarden/Friesland has the tips you’ll need to take a break and do something different.
The Zilveren Camera
This event is taking place in Groningen between the 10th of May and the 2nd of July! The Zilveren Camera is the national prize for the best journalistic photo, where separated prizes
for regional news, national and international, politics; sport, people in the news, art, culture, and entertainment; documentary national and international will be given.
At the exhibition, you can also see the winners of the Public Prize, the Prize for Storytelling, the NSP/Zilveren Camera Sports Photo of the Year, and the Paul Peters Photo-prize for social photography.
Thistimeimvoting
Last elections, only a small number of young people showed up to vote. Turns out not even half of the European citizens make use of their right to vote! To encourage people to vote and to make politics a little more fun and understandable the Groningen Forum organized Thistimeimvoting.
The event will take place on the 22nd of May and it’s accessible for English- and Dutch-speaking visitors.
Tuinfeest – Zomergloed
The second edition of the techno party that will take place in a garden on the 18th of May. You need to be at least 18 years to join this Tuinfeest edition. Make sure you can show your identification if asked.
