The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute KNMI has issued a Code Orange alert for Friday afternoon until Saturday, saying strong wind gusts (up to 120km/h) are expected to hit eleven provinces as storm Eunice approaches the country.

The Code Orange warning will be effective in Drenthe from 4pm until 7pm, while in Groningen it will run from 4pm on Friday to 1am on Saturday.
