From Thursday (April 14), anyone who is eligible for the second Covid-19 booster dose can get their jab at two Groningen vaccination centers any day of the week without booking an appointment, Omroep OOG reports.
The Dutch health council Gezondheidsraad recommends fourth COVID vaccine dose for the following categories of people:
- Individuals aged 60 and up
- Long-term care and retirement home residents
- Adults with Down syndrome
- Individuals aged 18 and up who are immunocompromised
The Groningen health board GGD operates the following vaccination sites which deliver booster doses:
- on Protonstraat 16
- on Osloweg 55
The last site offers booster shots to people with severe anxiety or needle-phobia as well as certain groups with behavioural disorders.
