The Leeuwarder business is an expert manufacturer of filtration systems
Translated by Thomas Ansell
This year’s Leeuwarder Ondernemersprijs has been won by Wafilin Systems, a filtration system company based in the city of Leeuwarden, that specialise in working with the food and dairy industry. As reported by the Omrop Fryslân.
The company faced tough competition from the two other finalists; the energy advice bureau Ekwadraat, and an organisation that tries to help young people find a job overseas- Grenzelooswerk. Judging took place via various means, including a public vote (that was won by Grenzelooswerk).
The jury decided to award the prize to Wafilin due to its working quality, combined with its flexibility as a business and commitment to innovation.
Wafilin works in filtration, using custom-built and designed membranes to help reduce, re-use, and recover waste water from various manufacturing processes.
