In this Covid Chronicle, we spoke to vice governor of the province of Friesland, Sietske Poepjes, about what a provincial government does during a crisis such as this. She proudly told us that the province does not just financially support its major cultural institutions; there is also funding available for small local initiatives. She especially called on expats to contact her with ideas to help their communities flourish and integrate in the province.
