During the National Dutch Meat-Free Week from the 11th through the 17th of March, restaurants across the Netherlands will be featuring more vegetarian options on their menus. Here are the eateries in the north offering up more dishes skipping meat this week.

The second week of March is also Vegetarian Restaurant Week, which Groningen culinary guide De Smaak van Stad reports began in 2018. The National Meat-Free Week encourages all Dutch people to skip all forms of meat for a week, including in their grocery shopping, and to experiment more with vegetarian cuisine.
Vegetarian Restaurant Week coincides with the Meat-Free Week, and Dutch restaurants, from casual chains serving 8 euro lunches to Michelin-starred dining experiences for five course menus for 50 euros, will be promoting vegetarian specials for lunch and dinner.
You can check out the overview of participating restaurants and grocery stores in the Meat-Free initiatives at devegetarischerestaurantweek.nl, and The Northern Times has put together a list of the eateries where you can grab a vegetarian dish this week.
