The position is unpaid
The University of Groningen (RUG) is looking for new ‘International Alumni Ambassadors’ from the class of 2020.
The function is important for the marketing and positioning of the Universty, but it can be very interesting for the students as well, so claims the RUG.
“After your training you will be one of the fifteen ambassadors for the university, know your way around and you will know how to channel student questions”, says the advert.
At the end of the program you will receive an official certificate of participation from the Rector Magnificus during a festive summer ceremony in the academy building. The advert suggests that those interested would work “30-40 hours per year”.
From the moment you finish the training, you are an active contact person for prospective international students. Expect varied questions about issues regarding study programmes, accommodation and housing, student/ study associations, the city itself, and more.
Also this program gives you the unique opportunity to connect with existing UG alumni networks all over the world or even set up your own and initiate activities.
For more information, see the advert here.
