Myrthe Bolt, a 19-year-old medical student at the University of Groningen from the Drenthe town of Roden, is also a world class model who recently hit the cat walk for Victoria’s Secret.

Dagblad van het Noorden reports that Bolt has only been a professional model for a year and half, but she is rapidly rising through the international ranks. In a recent appearance on the national talk show RTV Late Night, Bolt said that her studies are her top priority and she evaluates her academic schedule from one week to the next to see if she can fit in modelling jobs. This film was shared on Twitter capturing Bolt’s reaction to hearing that she had gotten the job in the Victoria’s Secret show.

Bolt has already modelled for some of the biggest names in the fashion world, including Chanel, Versace and Burberry. She was one of the models in the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York city on the 8th of November.
Bolt was not the only Dutch model in the show: Romee Strijd, a 23-year-old model, was born in Zoetermeer. Yasmin Wijnaldum, a 20-year-old model from Amsterdam, also made her premiere as an “Angel” in the show. Doutzen Kroes, one of the best-known Dutch super models, has also previously modelled for Victoria’s Secret and hails from the north: she was born in Eastermar in Friesland 1985.
