The RUG has placed seventh in the UI GreenMetric 2020
This year, the University of Groningen has finished in seventh place in the UI GreenMetric 2020, says the University. Wageningen University & Research is the most sustainable of the 912 participating universities, putting the RUG in second place for the Netherlands.
The UI GreenMetric ranking was set up by Universitas Indonesia to draw attention to sustainability in university policy. The universities are ranked based on numerical data from “Setting and Infrastructure”, “Energy and Climate Change”, “Waste”, “Water”, “Transportation” and “Education”.
Very green, indeed.
