Most cases are concentrated in the Noord-Brabant region

In the province of Drenthe two more cases of corona have been detected. This brings the total number of detected people in this province to 24, RTV Drenthe reports.

One of the infected people comes from the municipality of Coevorden, the other from the municipality of Hoogeveen: both areas have seen the highest numbers of sufferers in the North.

In total, the virus has now been detected in 24 people in Drenthe. Half of this comes from the municipality of Coevorden.

The ‘Scheper Hospital’ in Emmen announced today that a second patient has been admitted to the hospital.

The number of corona infections reported by the GGD provides an incomplete picture because only a limited group is still being tested. People from vulnerable groups in particular are monitored.

There are now 20 cases in Friesland, with one more death reported overnight. Groningen’s GGD has not reported any further infections today.

Across the Netherlands the total number of confirmed cases stands at 1,705- with 19 deaths recorded. All of those who have died as a result of complications from the COVID-19 virus were aged between 64 and 94.
