Two men from Leeuwarden were arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of connection to a shooting on the Willemskade.

The Leeuwarder Courant reports that a 43-year-old man approached police officers in the city centre around 3 a.m. and told them that someone had shot at him. A window was shattered on the Willemskade, where the incident reportedly occurred, but the man was not injured.

According to Omrop Fryslân, the police arrested two men from Leeuwarden, aged 26 and 28, shortly thereafter in connection with the shooting. The suspects will remain in custody while the police carry out an investigation. The police report that they found a gun on the scene.
