Train service between Meppel and Leeuwarden will be disrupted from Monday, October 7, until Tuesday, October 8, due to necessary track maintenance, the Dutch Railways (NS) announced.
To accommodate affected passengers, NS will provide bus service as an alternative mode of transportation between Meppel and Leeuwarden. Travelers are advised to expect additional travel time of up to 30 minutes due to the switch in transportation.
Beginning on Wednesday, October 9, train service will resume between Meppel and Akkrum. However, track work between Akkrum and Leeuwarden is scheduled to continue until October 13, with bus service remaining in operation for this segment.
Passengers are encouraged to check the NS website or mobile app for the latest updates on schedules and potential disruptions.
