As the mantle of European Capital of Culture is about to be taken up by Italy and Bulgaria, a limited edition commemorative photo book looking back at LF2018 has been released.
Titled “This was 2018”, Suksawat reports that the massive book includes 196 pages of captivating photos that captured many of the hundreds of cultural events organised in Leeuwarden and Friesland during the region’s year as a European Capital of Culture.
The book was commissioned by the LF2018 association and will have a limited edition print run of just 1,750 copies. A digital version of the photobook is available online through Issuu.
There are images from all of the various parties, events, exhibitions, project and performances from throughout LF2018, including the Eleven Fountains, Lân fan taal, the giant marionettes of Royal de Luxe, De Stormruiter, and the special 2018 Sense of Place themed edition of Oerol.
