Join The Northern Times and Connect International, and meet new people!

With restaurants, bars, museums, and cinemas now closed for more than two months, and social distancing rules in place, people around the world have been turning to virtual meet-ups, dates, and events. So, on 26 June, The Northern Times and Connect International are teaming up for an evening of chatter, connections and meeting new people!
The event will take place over online, using a popular video-meeting system, with people from across Friesland, Drenthe, and Groningen invited to take part. Whether you’d like to meet someone new, or make friends, you can sign up at this link.
The day before, participants will be sent a meeting link, and matched with people for a short speed date! Who knows, you might meet a walking-buddy, someone to share recipes with, or a date now that  the terraces, museums, and restaurants are all open (with pre-booking, and a maximum of 30 people per establishment).
After the event, The Northern Times will be reporting back on people’s experiences of virtual speed-dating!
