Survey reveals that two-thirds of Groningers want to keep working from home

After the first Coronavirus outbreak, few people want to return to their office desk

About two-thirds of working people in Groningen would like to continue working at home (at least partly) in the future. This has been revealed by a survey carried out by “Groningen Bereikbaar” (Groningen Accessible), of a few hundred employees.

Most of the respondents are still working from home says the organisation. Three-quarters are now working completely or partially at home. As reported by the GIC.

In general, people are positive about working from home, but prefer to alternate between that, and working at their office. About 66 percent would like to continue working partially at home, 11 percent would always like to work at home, and only 10 percent would like to return to the office full-time.

Respondents were also able to give their own answers to a question about their opinion about working from home. Some say they find working from home “terrible” or “worthless.” Some hopes for an ‘acceptance of strange working hours’, after the pandemic. The most-chosen option was to be able to work from home 80 percent of the time and 20 percent at the office.
