Summer is here, as are the beers of summer. On Whit Sunday (9 June), hop heads can get their fill of summer-ready beers at six cafes across town during the Groninger Summer Beer Pubcrawl 2019.
Beer lovers can sip on five different summer beers on a (hopefully) Whit Sunday at six cafes across the centre of Groningen during the Groninger Summer Beer Pubcrawl 2019. Participating bars are the Belgian café De Pintelier, Chaplin’s Pub, De Kale Jonker, The Dog’s Bollocks, Café Soestdijk and Block & Barrels, the latter of which will also provide a meal to go along with all those beverages until 10 p.m.
The pub crawl is being organised by De Bieragenda, a group of six of the best beer bars and cafes in the city that shares all things beer-related happening in Groningen, from pub crawls and other events to promotions. The group regularly coordinates other alcohol-themed tours of the city, including gin and tonic and subgenres of beer, such as IPA, Weizen and Bock. 2019 marks the second year that the group has put on the summer beer tour.
If you aer interested in joining the summer beer pub crawl, tickets are 29.50 in advance and 34 euros for last minute purchases – tickets are available at all of the participating establishments.
