Two storms are set to batter the Netherlands this week with winds of up to 120 kph, RTV Noord reports.
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute KNMI has issued a Code Yellow alert as storm Dudley is expected to sweep through most of the country on Wednesday evening, before storm Eunice arrives on Friday, the pair bringing westerly gales and heavy rain.
The forecaster said that outbreaks of rain will turn heavier on Wednesday night and more persistent during Thursday morning, then clearing to sunny intervals and blustery showers in the afternoon.
RTV Noord meteorologist Harma Boer has warned people in the northern provinces that there is a chance for hail and damaging winds, although the temperature will remain a relatively mild 11-14°C.
