As reported by RTV Drenthe, Patijn’s Paarden Revue will make its debut in Drenthe on the 5thof June. The special show has been put together in honour of the 90thedition of the National Dressage Competition at the horse racing facility CH Eext. The event has been in existence for 92 years, but is currently in its 90th edition. It was cancelled twice throughout its long history: once during the Second World War and once during the financial crisis.
The show has everything to do with our anniversary,” explains Rienk Kluiving from CH Eext. Singer Maikel-Owen van Deest will open the show with his version of “Het Dorp” by Wim Sonneveld, a popular Dutch classic about how the village where he grew up becomes unrecognisable over time. The choice of the song is befitting of the setting: the competition in Eext has gone through significant modernisation in recent years, both in its programme and its facilities. The show will also feature dressage horses and a harnessed horse dancing along the race track.
Tickets to CH Eext are available on the competition’s website.
