This Saturday King’s Day will be celebrated all over the Netherlands. Because the royal family will come to Emmen to celebrate and the King’s Day festival will be happening in Groningen, a lot of visitors are expected at both places. Extra buses are needed to accommodate everyone.
Qliner 300 between Emmen and Groningen will depart 6 times per hour during the day and 4 times per hour in the evening, instead of its normal 2 times an hour.
For visitors coming to Groningen on both the 26th and 27th of April, there will be extra buses to the city. On the night between the 26th and the 27th night busses will be available from and to Drachten, Gieten, Eelde, Appingedam, Delfzijl, Assen, Roden, Leek, Zuidlaren, Annen, Grootegast, Middelstum and Siddeburen, among other places.
Besides buses, there will also be more trains available. Visitors from Grijpskerk, Zuidhorn, Winsum, Hoogezand and Veendam will be able to travel by train as it runs until midnight and in the morning again from 06:00 on.
