Footage secretly filmed four years ago in a sauna in Peize in Drenthe has been discovered on at least one pornography website.
According to Sikkom, the sauna is a popular destination among Groningers, in particular students. The video had been viewed more than 250,000 times as of this week. The video was filmed in the showers of the sauna.
SpaWell took over ownership of the sauna in 2017, long after the video was filmed. Nevertheless, in comments to NOS, SpaWell spokesperson Hester van den Bosch says the company will file a police report and is demanding that the video be taken offline. Van Den Bosch also stated that the sauna has no security cameras and that cell phones are not permitted inside.
Last week, national media reported on multiple videos filmed inside saunas across the Netherlands and Belgium without visitors’ knowledge and then posted online, including footage of the Dutch women’s handball team at a sauna in Gelderland and a university of applied sciences in Ghent.
