The PvdA (Labour Party) wants to know how is it possible that a tenant in southwest of Friesland owns 59 houses, whilst living in low-income housing himself

MP Henk Nijboer (PvdA), has sent an inquiry to the Minister of the Interior Kajsa Ollongren about the astonishing fact that while he lives in a socially-rented house, a man from southwest of Friesland owns 59 houses.
The municipality will discuss this issue during the council meeting tonight. PvdA member Habtamu de Hoop wants to know what the association of southwest Friesland can do about this “bizarre” situation. “It’s too crazy for words,” says De Hoop.
The Land Registry was commissioned by NRC Handelsblad to look into how housing association homes are inhabited by people who own several apartments. This issue turns out to be nationwide, as thousands of residents are registered at the address of a housing association, while together they own 3344 houses.
The PvdA wants to know from the mayor and aldermen whether they are aware of this situation. What about the signaling function of the corporations towards the municipality and how is it possible that someone with such a large number of homes is allocated in a social rental home?
