Remember to bring your ID!

The GGD Groningen has announced that it will offer vaccines without appointments at six centres in the Province from today, reports In De Buurt. People may turn up to the vaccine centres in Scheemda, Veendam, Appingedam; Hoogezand, Warffum, and Stadskanaal with only their ID to get a shot.
It is important to note that only first vaccines will be given without an appointment: people must wait between four and six weeks (depending on the vaccine) to have their second shot. You’re fully protected against the worst effects of the Coronavirus somewhere between 10 and 14 days after that. The Dutch government’s QR travel code is only available 14 days after your second shot.
All of the Groninger appointment-free shots will be BioNTech/Pfizer, and people that have already had their first shot should simply turn up for their second when invited to. Both invitations are sent out at the same time- so make sure to check your emails!
