The exhibition, The Art of Aardman, will start in September, and will also feature Wallace & Gromit
From September 19, 2020, the exhibition The Art of Aardman, Shaun the Sheep and friends will be coming to Groningen, after stints in Frankfurt, Melbourne, Seoul and Paris.
The British Aardman Animations is the studio behind famous animation figures and films such as Shaun the Sheep, Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit, reports the GIC.
The studio has been making animations, films and advertising commercials for more than 40 years. This resulted in ten Oscar nominations, of which they won four.
In the exhibition, visitors get a unique look behind the scenes of the creative process. Using sketches, drawings, paintings, clay figures and complete film sets, you can see how Aardman brings their animated figures to life, step by step.
