A seriously injured man who was found outside a flat on the Planetenlaan in the Paddepoel neighbourhood of Groningen on Monday later succumbed to his injuries.
The Groninger Internet Courant reports that the man was found at 10:30 Monday morning. Emergency medical personnel treated the man at the scene but were unable to save him. It is not cleared what caused the man’s injuries and an investigation is ongoing.
OOG TV reports that the police are also currently carrying out an investigation in the Morgensterlaan park in the nearby Selwerd neighbourhood. The agents have closed off the park, but it is not clear if that investigation is related to the late man’s death.

The police have completed their investigation into the case and determined that the man’s injuries were not caused by any criminal wrongdoing. The man was a 52 year old Groninger.
