The University’s Coronavirus policies will be updated in the new academic year
If the Coronavirus continues to loosen its grip on the Netherlands (and vaccine uptake remains high), students at the University of Groningen will be able to sit next to eachother in lectures from September, reports OOGTV.
This is one of the so-called ‘scenario 3’ measures, set out by the RuG, and which the Executive Board is now focusing on. Groups of up to 75 students would be able to come together without keeping a distance of 1.5 meters. However, face masks would remain mandatory.
Until now, the RUG has focused on a scenario that would require a distance of 1.5 meters. But Rector Magnificus Cisca Wijmenga is pleased that a “more normal” scenario is possible for next year.
