The library will remain open despite stronger Coronavirus regulations
Despite the stricter Coronavirus measures announced on Tuesday, the University Library at the University of Groningen will remain open for the time being, reports OOGTV.
The previously set measures continue to apply in the building, meaning that study places must be reserved in advance and a face mask is mandatory. Keeping 1.5-metres away at all times is still a prerequisite.
The new measures, which came into effect on Wednesday, meant that public libraries throughout the Netherlands had to shut their doors. However, the University Library is not open to the public and may therefore remain open, with students only able to gain entry using their photocard.
