Merk Fryslân has developed a new app featuring 28 tourist routes through the province of Friesland called Route Fryslân Style.

The tourism market in Friesland is embracing the latest tech development in their new app. Route Fryslân Style, a project from Merk Fryslân, is a free app featuring 28 different tourist routes through the province of Friesland that visitors can travel by car, bike, canoe or even on horseback.
Several routes will also feature virtual reality options. The app will include information about the local tourism industry, Frisian museums and interactive features, such as quiz questions which users can earn points for answering correctly.
According to Omrop Fryslân, the app will officially launch on Saturday. Tourism professionals in the northeastern portion of Friesland got a preview of the app on Monday evening during an industry event in Damwoude.
