There were multiple skirmishes across the city, but the police only arrested one person: a 22-year-old man from Leeuwarden was arrested at the Ruiterkwartier on suspicion of punching another person.
The police also responded to a fight at the Hoeksterpad, where a man was allegedly kicked in the head and beaten up. The suspects had already fled the scene by the time that the police arrived, and no one was taken into custody. Omrop Fryslân writes that a fight was reported at Eewal, but the police arrived there after the crowd had dispersed.
Two underage girls – a 14-year-old from Zuidwest-Friesland and a 17-year-old girl from Leeuwarden – were taken into custody due to public drunkenness.
