Due to rail works, on 13 and 14 April and 20 and 22 April (Easter weekend), no trains will be running on the Sauwerd-Eemshaven line.

For the next two weekends, Arriva will be providing rail replacement buses, and an express bus service will be running between Groningen and Eemshaven which will connect with the ferry departure times to Borkum.
The Groninger Internet Courant reports that there will be trains running between Groningen and Sauwerd. A local bus will be serving the Sauwerd-Roodeschool line and an express bus will be stopping between Groningen and Eemshaven. The rail replacement buses will likely mean that passengers face at least a 45-minute delay in their travel plans, and travelers will have to check in and out at the stations – it will not be possible to check in on the buses.
On the 13th and 14th of April, works will be carried out around the station in Baflo, and during Easter weekend the following week, the station in Warffum will be the focal point. ProRail will be improving the lighting and the PA systems at both stations, and an overpass at the Baflo station will also be updated.
