The city of Groningen is (unsurprisingly a hotspot)
On Monday afternoon, 370 new Coronavirus infections were added in the province of Groningen, 110 of which in the municipality of Groningen, a day record. As reported by the GIC, most infections came from the municipality of Groningen. The number of infections is also relatively high in the Gemeentes Westerkwartier (37), Midden-Groningen (34), Het Hogeland and Oldambt (32 each).
In Loppersum there were only two new infections. In the municipality of Groningen, 88 new infections were added on Sunday.
Across the country, 11,212 new infections were added. That was 1,834 less than on Sunday. 242 people were admitted to hospital, of which 37 were admitted to ICU. Within 24 hours, 31 deceased patients were registered.
