The prime minister spent much of the visit speaking with a family from Loppersum. For an hour and a half, Rutte heard from the family, who have been dealing with the ongoing natural gas induced earthquakes and the aftermath of getting their damaged property repaired.
The Groninger Internet Courant reports that Rutte also visited Groningen Seaports to hear about developments surrounding offshore and onshore wind energy, promising applications for hydrogen technology and new companies coming to the region.
