The ex-cop, who is from Assen and used to serve the northern Netherlands region, is also accused of exposing himself to two young girls in his home. The girls, who were 10 and 12 at the time, were friends with one of the officer’s children. The mother of the two girls contacted the police about the officer’s conduct in September of last year.
The officer was taken into custody for reportedly pleasuring himself while watching the girls play outside. The police found child pornography on a USB stick and the former officer’s service telephone.

Dagblad van het Noorden reports that the ex-cop is accused of exposing himself to the young girls on two separate occasions last year, and that he was an active member of the same church as the girls. The suspect is also accused of distributing child pornography in 2016 and 2017. He is currently undergoing treatment at a psychiatric facility.
Based on the evidence and accusations against him, the man was fired after working for the police for 15 years. RTV Drenthe reports that the proposed sentence includes five months of probation. He is scheduled to be formally sentenced in two weeks.
