On Sunday evening, Groningen police shared a sketch of a person believed may be connected to the fatal stabbing on the Jaagpad last week with the public.

Last Tuesday, 27-year-old Hidde Bergman was fatally stabbed on the Jaagpad by a suspect who remains are large around 7:15 p.m. The Groningen police website reports that several witnesses saw a man walking toward the Plataanlaan after the incident, but it is not clear what the man’s role was in the stabbing.
According to an updated suspect description, the man was wearing dark-coloured clothing on his upper body and a black hat, is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, between 1.7 and 1.8 meters tall (5 foot 7 inches and 5 foot 11 inches), and a somewhat dark complexion.
The police are asking the public to get in touch via 0900-8844 (or anonymously at 0800-7000) if they know anything about the man in the sketch or if they witnessed the stabbing.
