Police in Groningen have released a photo of the bicycle used by the suspect wanted in connection with the attempted rape of a young woman at the Hereweg that happened on the 9th of August. They have also published a more detailed description of him.
On the 9th of August, a man allegedly pulled a young woman off her bike at the Hereweg and taken to a nearby area. The victim managed to alert bystanders who rushed to her assistance, foiling the man’s plans. The police launched an extensive search for the man using various search teams and a helicopter but yielded no results.
Police have now released a more detailed description of the aggressor. They have described him as:
– 20-30 year old male
– Dark skinned
– Was wearing Black clothing with a hood
– Dutch-speaking
– Noticeable jacket made out of smooth material
– About 1.90 metres tall (6’2.8 inches)
– Normal to muscular build
The bike that the suspect left at the scene of the crime is a Qwic electric bike that was reported stolen in May. The bike is grey and has a brown seat with brown handles. The keychain that was on the bike key had the words“Daffy Duck” on it. Police said the original owner of the bike is not related to this latest incident The keychain with “Daffy Duck” on it however was not of the previous owner and appears to belong to the suspect.
