A 25-year-old resident of the city of Groningen has been sentenced to 100 hours of community service for obscene sexual displays and harassment.

Translation by Traci White

RTV Noord reports that the man masturbated eleven times in front of the kitchen window of two female students while playing Pokémon Go in December and January. The students were shocked by the sexual display.

The man was in the vicinity of the Berkelstraat and Rivierenbuurt in the city while playing the game. Wearing sunglasses and had his pants around his ankles, he once approached one of the female residents while she was putting out the rubbish.

The man was spotted multiple times after cameras were hung up near the flat. He was eventually caught in the act and arrested.

The suspect claims that he was behaving the influence of drugs and he says that he cannot explain why he did it. He also has a restraining order against him while he is on probation and will have to undergo drugs testing. The two students called for 1,000 euros in damages, but the man was sentenced to pay each of them 500 euros.
