One person is dead after being hit by a train in Hoogeveen, Drenthe. The accident happened in the early afternoon at the railroad crossing on Pesserstraat, as informed by RTV Drenthe.
Police are investigating, but as of now, the cause of the collision is not yet known. The train stood close to the station and the traffic between Meppel and Assen was blocked until 4 p.m.
