The number of infections in the municipality of Groningen is skyrocketing at an alarming rate. On Monday, yesterday, another 436 new infections were confirmed: as a result, the density of infections has increased to 187.2 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

Although the number of infections is increasing rapidly, there is no pressure on hospitals, zero new hospital admissions have been recorded.
The ‘worrying’ (2 out of 4) risk still applies to the Groningen Security Region, which also includes the province. There are now fifteen regions at this risk level.
