Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland hospitals on Thursday were caring for 52 patients with the virus, down from 70 on Monday, Dagblad van het Noorden reports, citing the regional acute care association Roaz.
Intensive care unit admissions were down to 18, compared to the 24 reported on Monday. Nine of those patients are in Groningen and another nine in Friesland.
34 COVID patients receive treatment in isolation wards, 16 in Groningen, 6 in Drenthe and 12 in Friesland.
4 patients, who are undergoing treatment in the ICUs in the northern provinces, have been transferred from other parts of the country.
