Because of rail works at Assen and Haren there will be no rail service between Groningen en Hoogeveen during the weekend. Train operator NS will provide replacement bus servicers for travellers heading to and from Groningen.
The replacement bus services will be available from 2.00 am Saturday. According to NS it will take travellers 15 to 30 minutes extra to get from Groningen to Hoogeveen or vice versa.
NS advises travellers to plan their trips ahead, using it’s website or the NS-Reisplanner Xtra App (available on Android and iOS).
