Nearly everything will move online
The University of Groningen’s lecture halls will remain empty until the end of this academic year; the Executive Board has announced that all physical lectures and exams are to be suspended until August 31 due to the Corona virus outbreak. As reported by the Ukrant.
As far as possible, all education and associated examinations will be held online. To contain the outbreak, the university will close all of its buildings on Sunday until April 10.
Since Monday, the university has been working overtime to allow as much education as possible to go online. Online lectures will now also be the norm for the rest of the year.
Exams will also be given online. The faculties and study programs are looking for ways to achieve this and to minimise student delays.
