The ode to Groningen will take the form of a video
The city of Groningen is to receive a musical tribute in a video with images of Groningen, overlain by a poem by word artist Myron Hamming and over music by the Noord Nederlands Orkest. A number of creative parties have joined forces to make the song possible, reports the GIC.
Images include Amarise Jazbek dances through the streets of Groningen in the icy cold. Next to her is the young Groningen poet Myron Hamming, who wants to become the city’s poet.
He now describes the project, which will form his application for the post, as a kind of love letter or an ode to the people of Groningen. His plan convinced even the Noord Nederlands Orkest to cooperate.
