The Noord-Nederlands Toneel, Asko | Schönberg and Club Guy & Roni are all participating
A welcome change for people bored of staring at their colleagues over Zoom or Teams, you can now watch top-level ballet, dance, and interdisciplinary theatre online, too! The Noord Nederlands Toneel and the dance group Club Guy & Roni, along with the percussion group Asko | Schönberg are all clubbing together to perform online. Tonight there is a performance of the Swan Lake, reports the GIC.
The abbreviation NITE stands for National Interdisciplinary Theater Ensemble. The NITE movement is an initiative of the Noord Nederlands Toneel + Club Guy & Roni + Asko | Schönberg + Slagwerk Den Haag. Together they create interdisciplinary performances.
“We live together. We work together. We make together. The heart of the movement is the ensemble of actors, dancers and musicians that evolves per performance, understands each other better and can therefore make theater even more interesting. And then 1 + 1 suddenly becomes 3 ”, say the dancers, actors and musicians.
Swan lake
Swan Lake is “a unique virtual environment, an immersive experience and an all-encompassing view of the performers that draws you into the story like never before. Alone, but together with other spectators you move through the online theater. As a firefly you flutter from performance to performance. Alone, but together. Just like the multi-talented cast of the performance: each dancer has their own solo, but together they create the unique story of Swan Lake ”, the Visit Groningen website promises.
