The city of Groningen is now even easier to reach for international students, professionals and visitors. On Friday morning, a new Park and Ride (P+R) was officially opened on the east side of Groningen during a brief ceremony. Drivers can park their vehicles at the P+R Meerstad and then take a bus – or bike – to the city center. Groningen alderman Paul de Rook and provincial representative Fleur Gräper spoke with The Northern Times about what this new P+ R means for the city.
