And yet the Dutch government still supports the gas companies
The area surrounding the village of Westeremden in the north of the province of Groningen was rattled this morning (Thursday) by an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0. It is the second major earthquake in the province this week, GIC.nl reports.
On Tuesday morning there was an earthquake of 1.9 at Uithuizermeeden.
Thursday’s quake in Westeremden hit at around 07:30. Residents have reported that houses were shaking considerably.
There are reports from various places in the vicinity of people who have felt the quake, even from the city of Groningen.
