The N34 motorway between Coevorden in Drenthe and Hardenberg in Overijssel will be closed for the next ten weeks due to road works to upgrade and expand the road.
Translation by Traci White
An 11-kilometre long section of the road will be closed between the JC Kellerlaan and Coevorden. In addition to plans to broaden the road and lay down new asphalt, roadworks will also include adding sustainable materials along the shoulder, replacing De Vaart viaduct and building tunnels at the Pothofweg and the Holthonerweg.
Motorists travelling on the route will have to take a nearby detour: the map below shows which portions of the road will be open, the detour route and which areas will be closed. The green section will be closed for road works, the main detour is in red, and through traffic can continue to travel on the orange and blue routes.
