Entrepreneurs working in sectors that have seen a decrease in sales of more than 40% because of COVID-19 measures and closures can qualify for financial compensation, the Municipality of Groningen has decided.
The Gemeente has designated 2.9 million euro for this purpose, taken from the previous TONK Scheme (Temporary Support for Necessary Costs). This newest measure, in addition to those previously announced, should help the process of recovery of the sectors that were hit the hardest by the lockdowns, as identified by research figures by the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Netherlands.
Groningen-based entrepreneurs who have taken a financial hit and whose company’s SBI code is contained in the list provided by Statistics Netherlands could be eligible for as much as 1500 euro. The application form and SBI list are available on the Gemeente website.
