The event promises to ‘supercharge your working life’

Finding a job as an International can be difficult. Luckily, Make it in the North’s platform is helping to bridge the gap between international talent and all of the many hundreds of innovative companies and institutions in the North.
Aside from its job portal, and useful tools like an interactive map of all international companies, Make it in the North is also running a series of career events, the first of which was last year in July. Now, it’s hosting ‘Sustainable Future’, an event that hopes to bring people and a sustainable career ever-closer, on February 11 at Markt058 in Leeuwarden. The event is free to attend!
There’s a whole range of companies already signed up to present, give talks, or offer jobs in the career fair. From well-known institutions such as the University of Groningen, Wetsus and the WaterAlliance to fast-growing companies like Catawiki and Parkos, and start-ups, there’s representation from all across the North’s job market. This includes specialist employers such as HDM Pipelines and Huhtamaki, who will also be present, amongst others.
Those still studying will be well-placed to benefit from the event too: and not just because of the interesting keynotes and useful workshops. Recruit-a-Student will be present, offering side-jobs and flex work to fit around people’s studies, whilst Leeuwarden Student City will be on hand to help students make the most of their time in Friesland. The Innovatie Cluster Drachten will also be present, to show some of the groundbreaking work going on in Southern Friesland.
Sign-up for Make it in the North x Sustainable Future is open now, for free. If you’d like to be there, of you would like to get your company involved, just head to www.makeitinthenorth.nl.
