The majority are food and drink outlets, sports and fitness clubs, and saunas
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, many food and beverage outlets, sports and fitness clubs and saunas in the province of Drenthe have to close. The official Statistics office of The Netherlands (CBS) shows that 1,245 business locations are already closed in Drenthe. That does not include sex clubs and coffee shops, which must also be closed (thought coffee shops may operate a take-away rule), RTV Drenthe reports.
In the province of Drenthe , most locations are affected in North Drenthe. There, 475 companies had to close their doors due to the measures announced on March 15. There are 430 shuttered businesses in Southeast Drenthe and 340 in Southwest Drenthe.
Nationally, almost 50,000 companies have to close in The Netherlands. Relatively speaking, most companies are affected in the province of Zeeland
