Last week, Green Swan, the Portuguese toy company which is buying out some of the company’s assets, shared a list of 91 locations that would be closing. This week’s round of closures includes 60 stores. In total, Intertoys had 286 stores and 100 franchise locations before going bankrupt earlier this year.
Dagblad van het Noorden reports that in addition to the previously announced closures in Drenthe, the Intertoys at the Picassopassage in Emmen, Het Haagje in Hoogeveen, Rondgang in Assen and Heerestraat in Roden will also be shutting down.
In Groningen, the Veendam branch will be closing. Bart Smit, which is a subsidiary of Intertoys, will also be shutting down, including the branch at the Hooge Meeren shopping centre.
The Leeuwarder Courant writes that the location at de Centrale in Leeuwarden was included in this week’s list. Going out of business sales will be held at all of the closing locations through mid-May.
